I suppose I'm in the minority with you. I think that we only know 10% of what goes on behind the scenes in any professional sports team, and I can't imagine what Howson has had to endure personally since taking over as GM. Priest wants him to get Carter, Hitchcock wants Nash to be the captain, Arniel wants to put Brassard in the Pressbox, and through all of it, we're all supposed to believe that Nash has got our best interests at heart. Finally, Howson comes out and says, "hey, guess what everybody, Rick isn't a saint," and I can understand why he didn't let that cat out of the bag until after the deadline.

I don't think coming clean about Nash will diminish his trade value, but what do I know. I can't decide where I stand on Umberger, right now I'm just trying to figure out who is still on the team and what the lines and pairings are.

I'm much more interested in figuring out who is going to play goaltender here next year when we increase our 10-game package to a 20-game (my parents are retiring in Columbus this summer).

It's been fun being in the thick of things.. Adding the dimension of cheering against other teams in the playoff race makes it all the more enjoyable to be a hockey fan with Center Ice!!!

I can't help but feel confident about the team right now. They are buying into hard work and gritty wins, and as long as they keep showing a passion for winning on the ice, I'm not going anywhere!
