The Dallas Stars are the former home of Ken Hitchcock and his home of his only Stanley Cup Championship… maybe this is why there seems to be somewhat of a rivalry developing between the two teams.
The first meeting of the season was an overtime victory in Dallas by the Blue Jackets to open the 2008-09 season. The second meeting was the now infamous Manny Malhotra “no-goal” due to a “kicking motion” with only one leg on the ice

The Stars are 6-2-2 in the last 10 and have won 3 in a row. The Jackets are 6-3-1 and have won 2 in a row. Tonight should be a sellout as the team is averaging over 16,000 in the last 6 home games with just over 17k last night.
This could be the first real playoff atmosphere in Nationwide, well, ever…
